Important Information & House Guidelines To help ensure a comfortable stay and protect the property, please review the following details before booking and arrival. Rental Agreement & Security Deposit A signed rental agreement is required to confirm your stay at Bear Paw Lodge. A $250 refundable security deposit is also required and will be returned after checkout, provided no significant damage or other issues covered by the rental agreement are found. Guest Policy Only guests included on your reservation are permitted on the property, including visitors who do not plan to stay overnight. Please ensure your reservation accurately reflects everyone in your party before arrival. Unregistered visitors are not permitted, and unauthorized occupancy may result in additional fees or termination of the reservation in accordance with the rental agreement. Well Water Bear Paw Lodge uses well water. Natural minerals and air can occasionally cause slight variations in the water’s color or odor. The water is safe to drink, but guests who prefer bottled water or are sensitive to mineral content may wish to bring their own. Septic System Care The home operates on a septic system that requires a little extra care. To help keep everything running smoothly: - Do not put food scraps, grease, wipes, or hygiene products down drains or toilets. - Flush only septic-safe toilet paper. Please do not flush wipes or other products labeled “flushable.” - A strainer is provided in the kitchen sink to catch food particles. Please empty it into the trash as needed and before departure. Backup Generator The home has an automatic backup generator to help maintain essential comforts during a power outage. If the generator activates, please be mindful of electricity use and avoid running unnecessary high-power appliances. Trash Disposal Please place all trash in securely tied, 13-gallon kitchen-size bags and put the bags in the designated outdoor bins. A quick note: Our trash service collects individual bags by hand rather than using a dump truck. Please ensure all trash is properly bagged and securely tied. Take One, Leave One Library Feel free to choose a book to enjoy during your stay and leave another for the next guest if you wish. Our shared library includes books from a variety of authors and sources, so the selection does not necessarily reflect the personal views of the hosts. Outdoor Lighting & Local Wildlife Bear Paw Lodge is nestled in a beautiful rural setting, where outdoor lighting can attract insects, especially after dark. To help keep outdoor spaces more comfortable, please switch off lights when they aren’t needed. Thank you for helping us preserve the peaceful mountain setting. Fireworks & Firearms For safety and compliance with applicable local requirements, fireworks—including sparklers—and firearms are not permitted anywhere on the property. Pot Filler Faucet Please leave the pot-filler faucet handle pointed downward when it is not in use. This helps prevent accidental water flow or leaking. Garage Access The garage is reserved for the owners and is not available for guest use. Caring for the Property We take great care in maintaining Bear Paw Lodge for every stay and appreciate guests doing the same. Guests are responsible for damage caused during their reservation beyond ordinary wear and tear.
